Gemini Syndrome in Omaha, Nebraska on September 17, 2017.
Gemini Syndrome performed to a packed Bourbon Saloon in Omaha, Nebraska on September 17th, 2017. This tour stop in Omaha is the third built on their record, Memento Mori. After speaking with Aaron Nordstrom before the show they will be finishing this headlining tour and then join forces with Fozzy. They are going to take a short break in 2018 to work on new music and put together another record.
Gemini Syndrome is a band that had been trying to fill in an empty guitar player slot for a while and on this tour they found that force in Meegs Rascon who used to be with Coal Chamber. He is an energetically nice addition to the band.
This tour they also added a new level to their showmanship. After this show when everyone was gone, with the exception of a few VIPs and close friends, they did an acoustic set. It is a very cool addition to their repertoire. Aaron has been playing piano for about 30 years and they tour with a piano for their acoustic set. The drum set of Brian Steel Medina is torn down and it is substituted with a djembe. Electric guitars and bass are all turned in for acoustic versions. This is a nice new level of Gemini Syndrome. If you can, sit down in an up-close setting with them…you won’t regret the decision.
Yes, I am a fan of Gemini Syndrome. I also consider them friends. I have known them for a few years and the advancements they have made in stage presence and musical presentation are not without notice. They are a friendly bunch, but they always make some time to stop to talk with me about not only music and work, but we speak on a personal level as well.
